
The Queensland Government has introduced the Tourism Business Digital Adaptation Program to support micro, small, and medium-sized tourism businesses in adopting digital technologies.
This initiative offers a rebate of up to $2,500 (excluding GST) for new annual subscriptions to approved digital products, (such as accounting software or point of sale machines and software, etc).
Applications will open in early 2025, so now is the perfect time to prepare your business and gather the necessary documents to apply promptly when the program goes live.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the rebate, businesses must:
Operate within the tourism sector in Queensland.
Meet specific size requirements.
Be registered for GST.
Have their primary operations based in Queensland.

Application Process:

Submit Application: Complete the application through the Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s website. The process is designed to be straightforward, taking less than 10 minutes.
Purchas the Subscription: Select a the software plan that aligns with your business needs. If uncertain, consult with your advisor for guidance.
Claim Rebate: After purchasing, provide evidence of payment for three invoices (issued monthly) to claim the full rebate. Proof of payment for the remaining nine months is required at the end of the first year.
